Website & technical logs
The web server processes technical connection data, including IP address, time, requested address and browser information, to provide and secure this website. The website is hosted on a Hetzner server in the EU. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact & project inquiries
The inquiry form collects your selected service, company location, project description, preferred timing, name, company, business email, language, contact method and time zone. Phone number, budget and availability are optional; a phone number is required for a callback. We use these details to handle and respond to your inquiry and prepare a possible collaboration. Processing is based on steps prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in business communication where you act for a company (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Acknowledging this notice does not authorize marketing.
Storage, access & recipients
Form submissions are stored in an access-controlled database on the existing server in the EU. Access is limited to authorized KALION personnel. Form records and associated mail queue entries are automatically removed after 90 days. Information needed for an ongoing business relationship or legal retention obligations may be retained separately for longer. Technical service providers receive information only as necessary for hosting or the communication you request. Serving German and US companies does not itself transfer the inquiry database to the United States.
Session & abuse prevention
The necessary “kalion_form” cookie protects the form against submissions from other websites. It expires after two hours, is inaccessible to JavaScript and is transmitted over HTTPS. A random identifier in the open form prevents accidental duplicate submissions. Contact details and project text are not stored in browser session storage. For abuse prevention, the IP address is temporarily represented by a protected value that changes daily. These values are removed within 24 hours. These pages do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it for the future. Contact kontakt@kalion-software.com to exercise your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the data protection authority of Baden-Württemberg.
Voluntary information & automated decisions
Providing your information is voluntary. We need the marked required fields to process this form. You can contact us by email or phone instead. We do not use automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects or profiling. Please do not submit passwords or particularly sensitive information.
